I can't believe it's been ten days since I last blogged. Forgive me, precious readers. But Mum and I have both been suffering from HUYAS (Head Up Your Ass Syndrome.) Mum has a buyer for this house and is looking in Jersey. I like my job, so I have to find a place in CT. I can't believe I am going to live in CT. Longer.
But, it is bucolic, where they haven't polluted the shit out of it. Saturday, I kayaked on the Housatonic River and then hiked about 2 miles on Sunday.
Yesterday we barbecued at work. How sweet is that? We had Italian sausage. It was delicious. It was a bright sunny day. It was kind of windy, but barbecuing is not for the faint of heart. Then we ate in the conference room. Then we went back to work.
I'm more comfortable and more confident at work. I've booked 3 appointments in the last 3 days, so that's good. But still, every day is the playoffs. You have compete the best you can. It draining. But rewarding.
Don Corleone: I never wanted this for you. I work my whole life - I don't apologize - to take care of my family, and I refused to be a fool, dancing on the string held by all those bigshots. I don't apologize - that's my life - but I thought that, that when it was your time, that you would be the one to hold the strings. Senator Corleone; Governor Corleone. Well, it wasn't enough time. Michael. It wasn't enough time.
Michael: We'll get there, pop. We'll get there.
The Mets are trying to come back against the Dodgers, 6 - 4. This weekend is Memorial Day. How did that happen? Time drags/time flies. It all depends upon your circumstances, I guess. Better fast - definitely.
